Auction to benefit 20-year-old in need of a heart-liver transplant
June
2004 - Over sixty collector items have been donated for auction to help
save 20-year-old Kelli Jaunsen of
Palm Desert
,
California
. From June 21st
through 28th, fans will have the opportunity to
visit EBay and bid on the special items.
Some of the more unique items include: two prime tickets to any
one date of Projekt Revolution summer tour, featuring Linkin Park, Korn
and Snoop Dogg with passes to meet Linkin Park; an autographed Trapt
Limited Edition Robby Gordon Stock Car model, (#1 of 3100); DC shoes
poster signed by skateboarding world record holder
Danny Way
; Dodger balls autographed by catcher Paul La Duca and former Dodger
outfielder Brian Jordan. Also
up for auction are items autographed by Adam Sandler, Orlando Bloom,
Enrique Iglesias, Randy Travis,
Linkin
Park
, Quincy Jones, Deftones, Korn, Hoobastank, X-ecutioners, Slipknot,
Slash, and many others. Those
wishing to bid on items can visit EBay and access the charity auction by
entering “Kelli Jaunsen” in the search option.
Kelli
Jaunsen, known as Eccoblue to her family and friends, needs a heart and
liver transplant in order to survive.
Since she has more than one major organ failing, her insurance
company has refused coverage. All
proceeds from the auction, minus any EBay fees, will be donated to the
Eccoblue Survival Fund, a fund specifically set-up to help cover
operation related expenses for Kelli.
All items have been donated for the auction by the celebrities or
their associates.
Kelli
has received limited exposure through several news stories and programs
in
Southern California
, including the Los Angeles Times. For
